Gwytherin Jonard is an artist born and currently based in Central Ohio. Their pursuit of education has led them to Otterbein University, where they are a double major in Graphic Design and Zoo and Conservation Science, expected to graduate in December of 2027. They began their college career at Columbus State Community College, initially as a Computer Science major, but soon found their love for art. Their practice is heavily influenced by their interdisciplinary curiosity and passion for creation itself, in all mediums and formats. This includes everything from clay, to large-scale vinyl installations, card and box designs to narrative illustrations and comics.
As an artist, Gwen’s career didn’t start all that long ago, but the threads have been there for years. It started as something small, but eventually grew into a curiosity for creation and the world around them that they cannot ignore. Their true love for art, design, and craft drives them to constantly grow and evolve, using art as an extension of themself. Currently, they work at Otterbein’s maker space, where they have helped manage and complete over 2 dozen different design and fabrication projects. They recently exhibited in Otterbein’s Annual Juried Student Art Exhibition.
